Sunday& Rex is excited to announce that a product by Simone LeAmon from O.S INITIATIVE has become part of the collection.

Bowling Arm ® is a fashion accessory made with the red, white and yellow leather remnants from Australian cricket balls. Each leather ring is different because of the manufacturing process, a combination of the machine and the hand. The rings will stretch to fit all wrist sizes and acquire character from wear.

Bowling Arm®is a simple idea – it is about making something from nothing. It supports the design and production of sustainable product ideas and embraces the joy of storytelling.

Established in 2005, O.S INITIATIVE is a design and creative strategy studio based in Melbourne.

A core activity of O.S INITIATIVE is developing the studio’s own art and design projects for exhibition and retail. Such projects include furniture, interior products, accessories, fashion and limited edition sculpture.

Bowling Arm ® and many of our other favorites can be seen at one of the arts windows at Canary Wharf.

If you are passing by come and see the installation. It is located in the shopping centre on the ground floor.

We are also excited to announce that Owen Wall is a finalist in the Homes and Gardens Classic Design Awards. His lustred espresso cups and saucers are amongst the contenders with the winner being announced later this month at the V&A. Voonwong and Bensonsaw were also contenders with their Crease Dish reaching the final  rounds.

Sunday&Rex is very excited by a new product by Claesson Koivisto Rune.

Claesson Koivisto Rune was founded in Stockholm in 1995 by Marten Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune. They started as an architectural practice but soon became multidisciplinary, practicing architecture, interior design and product design. They were the first Swedish architects to exhibit at the prestigious Venice Architecture Biennale (2004), and have even created the set for a recent Kylie video. Their latest venture is a striking Jewellery series called ‘Eve’, formed by slicing an aluminium extrusion at different angles to create a range of bracelets. ‘Eve’ was commissioned by Stockholm gallery-owner, producer, and design historian Pascale-Cottard Olsen for her collection of design objects. Pascale’s aim is to present and promote the work of designers from Scandinavia and around the world, and she has helped to launch many young designers’ careers onto the international platform. Pascale recently won the 2008 ‘Design S’ award, Sweden’s highest accolade rewarding the best examples of Swedish design.
