Sunday&Rex recently visited Somerset House. They are currently showing Wouldn’t it be nice…Wishful thinking in art and Design. We highly recommend a visit on a Wintery afternoon and checking what exhibitions and events are happening there.

14 days, 14 different events.

Graphic designers åbäke estimate they have 14 aliases in total, they will occupy the studio space in each of their different guises for 14 days, as part of Wouldn’t it be nice, the current exhibition at Somerset House.

Events include Trattoria Cappello (returns only) with Martino Gamper and Alex Rich who will create a guerrilla restaurant, designing every part of it, from the cutlery to the kitchen, food and furniture; an all day-disco with Paris-based cult electronica record label Kitsuné who will play every record they’ve ever released back to back with a £1 bar; and the Garage Sale on the final day whereby everything left over from the previous 13 days activities will be sold off by åbäke in the gallery space. all aliases will bring in something to sell, all items under £5, cash only.

Tickets £8, concessions £6, under 12’s free
Groups of 10+ students can buy a £4 exhibition ticket from the Somerset House Embankment Galleries on production of valid ID
