About Sunday & Rex

Sunday&Rex is a gallery that sells a range of contemporary designed products for the home; furniture, fine art, decorative arts and jewellery. Along with this website the gallery exists as a series of temporary Pop-Up exhibitions in different locations every few months. The aim is to provide a hub where emerging designers and artists from Europe and Australia can sell their work commercially.

The Owners
georgeandstuThe owners of Sunday&Rex are Stewart Brooks and Georgie Morgan. They are both from design backgrounds with their combined experience of Architecture, Interiors and Exhibition Design having a direct influence on the Sunday&Rex Collection. They have collaborated on many projects together in Australia, worked on various cultural design projects, large architectural projects and taught design at University.

Who were Sunday&Rex?
The Story behind the name is important as it has inspired the co-owners to be where they are now. Rex Ebbott, a Grandfather of one of co-owners, was an advocate for the arts, a curator of Georgian Glass and a lover of wine and food.

Sunday Ebbott was married to Rex's brother, she was an interior designer a who surrounded herself with beautiful objects. Her husband, Vivian Ebbott was part of the 1900's anti-establishment group of Australian artists, The Angry Penguins.

It is the lives of such people that inspired Stewart and Georgie to collaborate on Sunday&Rex.

The Sunday&Rex aesthetic
Sunday&Rex advocates the old with the new, the quirky with the refined and the colourful with the muted. The collection tells a story of a group of incredibly creative people. As a company Sunday&Rex endorses and encourages creativity because after all, design is everywhere you look and without it the world would be a very uninspiring place.
